Dr. Hariolf Wenzler

Hariolf Wenzler is the chief strategy officer of Baker McKenzie’s Germany and Austria offices. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Wenzler was CEO of Bucerius Law School, Germany’s first and only private law school heading the league tables.

Mr. Wenzler has extensive experience in strategy, innovation and business development. As a founder and board member of the European Legal Technology Association, he plays a leading role in debates on LegalTech and its implications for the legal profession. In his earlier career he was managing director of the City of Hamburg’s international business development; prior to that he was a manager at the Chamber of Commerce, heading the marketing and services department. Mr. Wenzler holds degrees in economics and political science and serves on a number of boards in charity and education.
